Monrepos Park will be fully supplied with water before opening

Water supply and sewerage will be available for residents of the Petrovsky micro district in Vyborg on a permanent basis after networks construction is laid.

Works are being carried out in the Vyborg district of the Leningrad region under the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme “South-East Finland – Russia”. SUE “Lenoblvodokanal” started providing centralized water supply and sewerage to the Petrovsky micro district in Vyborg, taking into account the construction of engineering networks in Monrepos Park in 2019.

Technical conditions for the connection of the Monrepos Park capital construction facility to engineering networks were issued in June 2019 as follows: the water amount - 30 m3 per day, through the sewage system - 49.
The museum-reserve Monrepos explained that such water amount completely meets and even exceeds their needs. The Petrovsky micro district, including the Monrepos Park, will be equipped with centralized water supply and sanitation on a permanent basis in 2023.

To expedite the full opening of the Park after the reconstruction, it was decided to provide water supply and sewerage to Monrepos on a temporary basis. SUE “Lenoblvodokanal” will provide spots for temporary connection. Alexey Vasiliev, General Director of the state customer of the project - The Fund for Investment Construction Projects in St. Petersburg (FISP), explained that this will allow opening the entire Park right after the reconstruction is completed.

The allocated amount of resources completely covers the needs of the Park and tourists. SUE “Lenoblvodokanal” is ready to provide the Park with water in the amount equal to the need for a permanent scheme - 30 m3 of water per day and 49 m3 of sewage even while it works on a temporal basis. It should be mentioned that in 2019 the design of modern water treatment facilities in Vyborg was began under the “Clean water” program.
Ozone-sorption technology will be implemented there. In 2020, drinking water purification and iron removal stations will be installed at boreholes in the settlements of the Vyborg district. Reconstruction of sewage treatment facilities will be provided in the settlements Glebychevo, Krasnoselskoye, Roshchino and in Vyborg as well.
