“Lenoblvodokanal” and Lappeenranta are for a clean Gulf of Finland!

A true milestone – the Grant Contract under the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme “South-East Finland – Russia” for the construction of a centralized water supply and sewerage system in the Petrovsky district in Vyborg, taking into account the construction of engineering networks of the state institution «Park Monrepos» – was signed today.

The project coordinators are SUE “Lenoblvodokanal” from Russia and City of Lappeenranta from Finland. After signing the contract Sergey Morozov, General director of SUE “Lenoblvodokanal” in a conversation with Satu Sikanen, noted that international cooperation and the study of mutual experience of Russian and Finnish specialists will help to coordinate joint actions in improvement of wastewater management systems on both sides of the border. The key priority of the project for both countries is to preserve the freshwater resources of the Gulf of Finland.
